The Malaguista ‘14’ held a press conference after the draw with SD Ponferradina. In his assessment of the match, he said he leaves with “a feeling of annoyance” as the team deserved more, although “at least it’s a point. We’re continuing to grow. This is the way forward, but we’re missing out on points that we need. The team is growing, but I’m angry as we deserved more. We had many situations, but little by little we’re becoming superior to our rivals,” the midfielder added.
In regard to one of the standout moments of the match, in which Brandon fell inside the area whilst shooting on goal, Febas commented: “I didn’t see the foul, but the fans were going crazy. What is VAR for if you can see a foul so clearly. Everyone said it should have been a penalty, but these are things we can’t control. It’s not down to us, but it’s annoying.”
To end, the Malaguista player discussed his individual situation: “I’m improving physically. I can endure more and make the level of effort I know I’m capable of. I’m happy with my situation and the continuity the coach is giving me,” he concluded.
