Victory away from home for Málaga CF against La Rambla in Group 4 of Primera Nacional Femenina on matchday 22. After a goalless first half, the Malaguistas claimed victory in the second half.
MCFF’s first match since becoming mathematical league champions took place at the Municipal Alfonso Cabello ground in Córdoba.
La Rambla got off to a determined start, impeding Málaga from playing their usual game. In the first half, with barely any chances in the areas, the defenders surpassed the strikers. At half-time the scoreboard remained at 0-0.
It was all change in the second half, however. Judith, who has been decisive since joining the squad midway through the season, took the girls 0-1 up in 52’, making the most of a Clo assist, as she came off the bench to bring her quality to the left profile.
Shortly afterwards, MCFF increased their lead thanks to Granada-born ‘pichichi’ Sonia Torralvo, who scored her 15th goal of the League season(0-2, 65’).
In 71’, local striker Tamara narrowed the gap to take the score to 1-2. Yet Futu, from a Carmen Gómez pass, sealed victory in the closing stages (1-3, 88’).
League victory number 20 out of 22 matches for the Málaga CF champions, who remain unbeaten with four games remaining in the competition.
