Andrés Caro: “I’m Malaguista and Malagueño, I’m delighted to be staying here”

The player spoke to the Club media after signing his contract: “This is an unforgettable day. I’m going to work hard to stay here for many more years.”

Andrés Caro will continue with the Blue and Whites until 2025. The defender sealed the extension of his relationship with the Entity at midday today at La Rosaleda stadium. After the long-awaited signing, the young player spoke to MCFTV: “I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time. As a Malaguista and Malagueño, it’s wonderful to be able to remain at the Club of my life. I’m delighted to be staying here,” he stated.

He went on to talk about his experience when, as a child, he was close to the MCF players. Today he’s one of them: “It’s an unforgettable day. When I used to come here as a ball boy or go out onto the pitch hand in hand with the players... being able to be part of the Málaga CF squad is a dream and I’m going to work hard to stay here for many more years,” he recalled.

Andrés is an intelligent young land: “Everything is moving so quickly, particularly at my age, and what I’ve experienced up to now. However, I’m think I’m mature enough to handle it properly. Receiving so many compliments isn’t always a good thing, you need to keep your feet on the ground and know that you have to work hard every day,” he said humbly.

He can't help smiling when asked about starting the season: “When you're young you always want to play football and when things like this happen, even more so. I can’t wait to put on my boots, get the kit on and be able to enjoy playing at La Rosaleda with the fans. I'm sure it's going to be a great season for us all,” he continued.
