A trio full of commitment and faith

Lombán, Sadiku and Buenacasa, three of the Club’s five players who have recently renewed until the end of the 19/20 season, analyse the extension of their contracts with the Malaguista entity.

David Lombán

“We are in an exceptional situation because of everything that’s happened. The season will end later than the 30th June, so we’ve decided to finish what we started and I’ll stay with my teammates until the end of this season”.

Armando Sadiku

“When Manolo Gaspar spoke to me about the situation, I told him I have no doubt that I want to stay here until the end of the season. I’m not someone who hides away, I always want to face up to things and continue my work until the end”.

“I’m certain I will do my very best in these matches, for Málaga, as I’ve always done. I have a very special affection for the fans and the people who work here, which is why I’m going to give 100 per cent in the remaining games to score goals and help the team”.

Sergio Buenacasa

“I’m fully committed. I had no doubt that I wanted to end the season here. When the opportunity arose in January it wasn’t about making up the squad, but about doing a good job and helping the team to the maximum”.

“I was committed when I came here, as I am now, even more so. The possibility of leaving the team because of a contract issue, with matches remaining, I couldn’t tolerate. I’m not going to abandon the team, I’m going to stay and help as much as I can”.

“We all have to make a sacrifice during this difficult time. If we have to play for a month without fees because of these circumstances, then we’re very happy to do so. Aside from my job, playing football is my hobby and what I love doing, even when I wasn’t able to train I missed it so much, money or no money”.
