After undertaking his usual recovery training at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium, the charismatic, and now legendary Malaguista was recognised by the Peña Internacional Malaguista today, a federated supporters’ group made up of foreign Málaga fans with a Blue and White heart.

Weligton received a beautiful trophy for his service to the Cub over the past decade, in which he’s played a key role on and off the pitch, and in the dressing room, for his performance, personality and charisma.  “It’s an honour for me to receive an award like this from such a special supporters club as the Peña Internacional.  The fact they are recognising me at a difficult time in my career is something I’m very grateful for”, comments the number ‘3’ player, who fully represents the values of Memory, Commitment and Faith.
