Bad first half
“In the first half there was no doubt. We spoke at half time, with that activation it’s very difficult to compete. It was more of a matter of attitude than anything else. We tried to seek solutions but it wasn’t possible, and the expulsion of Adrián tipped the balance in Huesca’s favour. We can highlight the effort of the players in the second half, during which they created danger, particularly from the set piece”.

“In the first half there was a circumstance of play which, as we were in the wrong, we recognised it and there’s no excuse. At 1-0 down I don’t understand how the foul on ‘Boula’ wasn’t revised; the rival ran into him without touching the ball, and this could have led to us levelling up the match. Something that was so clear, I don’t understand how the referee didn’t go and watch it on the screen, as he did with the Huesca players”.
Long competition
“The points we’ve been gaining from hard work and good gameplay all add up, and this season is very long. We trust in the players and the team. They were the first bad 45 minutes of the season. We didn’t compete today and during the poor 45 minutes we conceded two goals. It could have been different with the VAR, but we weren’t even fortunate with that”.
