Málaga CF Femenino defeated CD Santa Teresa at El Vivero (Badajoz) by 0-4 on matchday 15 of Segunda División Nacional Femenina Group IV. Goals from Sheila and Adriana keep the Blue and Whites group leaders with 40 points.
After the initial whistle, the locals had more chances to approach Alba’s goal area, although the Blue and Whites’ keeper cleared the balls without any difficulties. The tables soon turned and Málaga began to feel comfortable, so much so that in minute 4, a perfect assist from Meri allowed Sheila to convert the 0-1. The match continued its course and the Malaguistas dominated possession. The difference increased when, in minute 21, Adriana hooked the ball with a header following a corner kick to give her team a 0-2 lead over Santa Teresa.
There was no stopping Antonio Contreras’ girls, and in minute 26, Sheila took advantage of a rejection from the rival defence to widen the lead to 0-3. With the first half almost up, Adriana took the game to the break with a stunning goal thanks to a pass from Sheila, to secure a 0-4 lead.
In the second half, Contreras made some changes to the Malaguista line-up, bringing on Farfán, who substituted Paula in 55’; Noelia –in substitution of Raquel-; María R. for Kerlly; and lastly, in minute 74, Karina for Adriana. This last change meant that María R. wore the captain’s armband until the end of the match. In the second half the locals increased their defence, and despite attempts by Encarni and Meri for Málaga, the result remained at 0-4. As such, the Malaguistas claim their 12th consecutive victory.
