A win away from home for Málaga Femenino against UCD La Cañada Atlético, on matchday 3 of Primera Nacional Group 4. Encarni, Futu and Bertuchi (2) scored the Malaguista goals.

Ayala selected a starting-11 made up of María Arrabal in goal; Encarni, Ruth, Yoli and Marina in defence; Farfán, Teté, Clo and Bertuchi in midfield; and Futu and Sonia Torralvo upfront.

The Malaguistas soon took the lead in La Cañada. Ten minutes in and the girls were already 0-2 up, thanks to goals from the combative Encarni (7 ') and the elusive Futu (10'). Shortly before half-time, Bertuchi netted the third (0-3, 42’).

In the second half, MCFF took their foot off the gas somewhat, although Bertuchi scored again to put the visitors further in the lead (0-4, 69'). Ayala took off ‘veterans’ such as Ruth and Encarni and made way for the young Elena to make her debut in minute 72 of play.

The third victory in as many games for the Blue and Whites who have enjoyed a superb start to the 21/22 season. The girls are not in competition next weekend, but the following weekend they’ll host Granada CF ‘B’ on league matchday 4.
