“There are more chances of winning when you have the support we’ll have”
Natxo González held a press conference ahead of #FuenlaMálaga. “I feel like we are a more reliable team in all aspects of play,” he stated.
In regard to tomorrow’s match, “all games are important and every step you take that earns you three points is an important one. We treat every match as if it were the last. I’m not obsessing over the standings, there’s a lot to fight for at the top, middle and bottom,” said the coach.
The Vitoria-born coach affirmed that Peybernes, who returns to the squad list, “is in a position to be with the group, he trained well yesterday and today.” In Fuenlabrada, according to Natxo, “nothing changes because our idea is the same at home and away. At home you have the fans who drive you on, which isn’t the case away from home, although we will have supporters there to encourage us.”
“The obligation to win is always there, for us, the Club and the fans. There are more chances of winning when you have the support we have. We must give our all, and even though often the result doesn’t go our way. We need to do all we can to achieve it,” he added.
Regarding his squad, he considers that “professional players have to be raring to go, whether they’re playing more or less. In the end they’re having the most minutes, possibilities, and each one is marking their own path. The player who today may not feel very important, could prove to be decisive within a month.”
Finally, Natxo talks about how the team has evolved under his leadership: “It’s all progressed naturally. After six or seven weeks, the evolution of the team has been very natural. Talking about points, I would have liked two more points, which I think we deserved. I feel like we are a more reliable team in all aspects of play, and with two more points I think it would be fair.”
