The Royal Spanish Football Federation and the Professional Football League have reached an agreement whereby the 18/19 season will have an asymmetrical calendar. The measure will be implemented in the Santander, 1|2|3 and Iberdrola Leagues.
This new calendar will organise the matches using software that, based on conditions, will generate thousands of possible combinations from which the most convenient ones will be chosen for each category. Under this new format, we will say goodbye to the distribution of matchdays 1-20, 2-21, 2-22, etc.
