A representation of experienced season ticket holders met at La Rosaleda this afternoon to share a convivial breakfast and discuss topics of interest.
Experience is a priceless treasure. Good advice from someone who treasures countless experiences is one of the greatest gifts we can ever receive, but without proper attention it could be diluted and forgotten about. This is why it’s very important to consider what those who accumulate a greater number of kilometres in life have to say, which Málaga CF has done.
The 20th December 2021, goes down in MCF’s history for being the day on which the first Malaguista Senate was officially founded. Its members are season ticket holders with more than 25 years of experience -uninterrupted- and over 70 years of age. They, the wise voices of the stands, gathered yesterday, Monday together with a broad representation from the Club, led by adviser, Francisco Martín Aguilar; sporting director, Manolo Gaspar; head of the Academy, Sergio Paulo Barbosa Valente 'Duda'; member of the MCF Foundation, Sebastián Fernández Reyes, 'Basti; directors of the Financial, Business and Institutional Relations Departments, Alberto Martínez, Carlos Arias and Ana Vera; the head of Human Resources, María del Mar Jiménez; and the person in charge of the link with the Peñas Malaguistas, Sergio Valencia to convey their thoughts.
Following breakfast in the VIP area of the stadium as well as a VIP tour of the museum, they held an assembly in the 'Juan Cortés' press room to send their suggestions and queries (adaptation of facilities, season ticket holder accessibility etc.) and, of course, share invaluable anecdotes and memories (such as when one of them set the date of their wedding so that it didn’t coincide with a match at La Rosaleda or the one who still has a 500 peseta note signed by Basti).
An extraordinary session in which the Malaguista Senate gifted the Club its greatest treasure, its wisdom.
