MCFF will resume training on 3rd January

Ayala’s team will return to work at the Roma Luz CF facilities in 2022 with the aim of maintaining their place at the top of the league table and keeping the Copa de la Reina dream alive.

The women’s first team, not in competition last weekend, are currently enjoying their Christmas break.

The Blue and White girls will return to training on Monday 3rd January ahead of the upcoming Primera Nacional Group 4 clash against CD Salamanca FF (Sunday 9th January)

A brilliant first round

The 21/22 season so far, midway through the competition, is unbeatable for Málaga Femenino. Solid leaders, out of 13 games they’ve won 12 and drawn one, avoiding defeat. The girls have accumulated 37 out of 39 points, scoring 39 goals (an average of three per match) and conceding seven, with a +10 lead over CD Badajoz in second place.

Málaga CF are in the top 2 of the seven groups in Primera Nacional Femenina in terms of points, only surpassed by Valencia CF’s reserve team, who have had a full house of victories in 13 matches in Group 7, for a perfect 39 out of 39 points.

In regard to the individual, Sonia Torralvo has stood out for her scoring ability, racking up 12 League goals and one in the Cup competition. Carmen Gómez, with nine league goals, and Bertuchi, with five, complete the team's scoring podium.

The Cup

Ayala’s girls have passed two rounds of the Copa de la Reina this season, beating two teams of a higher category in the Reto Iberdrola, CE Seagull and Zaragoza CFF. In the case of the latter, there was an exciting penalty shoot-out, with goalkeeper María Arrabal the heroine in the historic setting of La Rosaleda Stadium.

The draw for the third round of the Cup competition will be held shortly, to keep the dream alive in this KO tournament.
