The Málaga Phase of LaLiga Genuine Santander was presented this Monday and includes a program of activities that will culminate this weekend with a fiesta at La Rosaleda among the 18 participating teams.
On its 80th birthday, this weekend between Friday 13th and Sunday 15th May, La Rosaleda Stadium will host the Málaga Phase of LaLiga Genuine Santander, the second phase organised by Málaga CF and its Foundation, together with Fundación LaLiga.
The Genuine football fiesta of the season, in which 18 teams from all over the country take part, is part of an extensive program of activities devised by the MCF Foundation, presented this Monday morning in the 'Juan Cortés' press room at La Rosaleda.
With the presentation press conference, the 'Genuinely Málaga' week gets underway. On Tuesday, Málaga Genuine’s ‘Super Training Session’ will take place; on Wednesday the meeting with CEIP Giner de los Ríos; on Thursday the ‘Super Visit’ to Clínicas Rincón Dental; then on Friday the Málaga Phase of LaLiga Genuine Santander will kick-off. The inauguration ceremony is at 20:00, with LaLiga president Javier Tebas in attendance, as well as a large representation from Málaga CF, headed up by judicial administrator, José María Muñoz.
Throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday morning, La Rosaleda Stadium will host the 27 matches between the 18 participating teams. The MCF Foundation team, host of the tournament, is part of the ‘Grupo Compañerismo’, and will face Sevilla FC on Saturday 14th at 12:00, Elche CF on the same day at 18:00, ending its participation on Sunday the 15th against UD Las Palmas.
It was precisely in Las Palmas that Phase 1 of LaLiga Genuine Santander took place, where the MCF Foundation team achieved two victories and just one defeat, in addition to claiming 89 of the 90 possible points in Fair Play, currently the provisional leaders in reaching this major objective.
Values that make the Supercapacitad@s School, which has a total of 73 players, register the second highest number of members in LaLiga Genuine Santander, a benchmark in social integration through sport.
This is all possible thanks to the support from MCF Foundation sponsors: Clínicas Rincón Dental, Sanamar Alimentación, Ayuntamiento de Frigiliana, Fundación La Caixa and Grupo Lismama.
Málaga takes over from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which hosted Phase 1 of LaLiga Genuine Santander, to become the most Genuine city in Spain.
