Setback in Albacete ends the positive streak (1-0)

Málaga CF Femenino lost out to Cff Albacete away from home on matchday 8 of Segunda Federación Grupo Sur. A goal from Miri in the second half led the locals to victory.

Sunday morning at the José Copete in Albacete with an MCFF that arrived on top form following three victories and a draw in their previous four matches.

Juanma’s starting-11 consisted of María Arrabal in goal; Encarni, Ruth ©, Mérida and Yoli Peche in defence; Olmedo, María Cortés, Félicité and Marilén in midfield; and Torralvo and Futu on the attack.

A similar starting line-up to previous games, with María Cortés returning to midfield in place of Nazaret after suspension, and Futu on the attack after having scored four goals in three matches on the bounce.

In the first half there were hardly any chances for either side, with the defenders clearly imposing themselves on the forwards. However, in the second half, the bad news arrived. First, in the form of Yoli Peche's injury, then immediately afterwards, Miri's goal came (1-0, 54'), leading the La Mancha team to victory.

Málaga CF, who were superior to the rival in many aspects of play, didn’t manage to convey their dominance in goals or points.

The 1-0 result leaves with the team with 13 points in the mid-high part of the standings after eight league games. Next week, the girls are away from home again to FF La Solana Quesos La Casota.
