Schuster: “It’s an important victory for everyone”
The Málaga Club de Fútbol coach held a press conference following tonight’s match at El Sadar to highlight the importance of the Blue and Whites’ win: “The team didn’t lose faith and kept up the hard work. Luck was definitely on our side tonight.”
The German-born coach talks about Gámez’s expulsion: “We saw it coming, we warned Jesús but he couldn’t do anything. We played well after he was sent off, and only ran into danger from corner kicks.” Schuster looks at other aspects of play that require improvement: “We’ve still got problems marking rival players, which we’ve had all year. We were lucky tonight that they didn’t convert their early chances into goals in the first half.”
