Rosales: “We want to make sure the fans really enjoy the game”

Málaga Club de Fútbol’s Roberto Rosales held a press conference at the Ciudad de Málaga athletics stadium to talk about the team and Saturday’s match against Atlético de Madrid: “We’ll try to give everything we’ve got in what will be a difficult game.”

Roberto Rosales begins by talking about the run of negative away results: “Since the match in Barcelona we’ve not been performing well away from home, where it’s always more difficult.  Our gameplay isn’t effective enough, even though everyone gives their all.  We need to be more forceful.”

For the Venezuelan-born defender, the team now has a great opportunity for a big win in front of the fans: “We know how disappointed the fans are, but we’ll try to give everything we’ve got in what will be a difficult game, in order to secure victory on Saturday.  We all want to win, the fans and the entire team.  This weekend will give us a chance to play as well as we can and make sure the fans really enjoy the game.”

Rosales warns the team will face one of the strongest rivals in the competition on Saturday: “Atlético is a team of many variants so we need to stay focused.  They are a quality side.  In order to overcome the reigning League champions we must stay strong collectively as a group.  We’re hoping we can perform at our best on Saturday as we owe it to the fans, and we have been strong at home throughout this season.”
