Mateu Lahoz has officiated Málaga CF three times so far this season, the last being the defeat at Los Cármenes against Granada CF. He also refereed the first leg of the Copa del Rey knockout stage, which ended in a 1-1 draw with Deportivo, as well as the victory at La Rosaleda against Athletic Club (1-0); the first League match of the season.
