“We managed to maintain the same dynamic we’ve shown throughout the majority of the League season at home.  We were up against a big rival, who is always competitive and hard to beat.  Although we didn’t claim three points I think the team should be congratulated.  We fought hard tonight and I hope by playing like this it will help us to achieve our objectives during the remainder of the season.  The true Málaga fans are always behind us, even in defeat.  We must ensure we improve in away matches and show another side to us.  I hope we’ll be able to do this in our forthcoming games.”

“The coach told us we did our job well.  We worked as hard as we could for the entire match, and although we struggled, we held our own against a major rival.  I think they suffered more than we did.  Conceding a goal in the final stretch of the match was unfortunate, but now we need to focus on the Bernabéu.  There’s no time to relax until the end of the season.  Even though we’ve not been at our best away from home, tonight’s game showed that we’ve got the right attitude and ambition to strive for European positions.”
