Time in Holland

“I was here for four years. It was an important time for me and I learnt a great deal. I made some good friends and it’s a wonderful experience to share other cultures. I managed in English, and over the years I learnt some words and understood many things”.

AZ Alkmaar, next rival

“They’re a pretty good side, one of the best in Holland, along with Ajax, PSV…When I was here we were an equal team, with Twente; the fans are always supporting the team at the stadium, and it’ll be a great match to play”.

Recovery from groin injury

“At first, I was a little scared of the operation, but with every day I feel better, more comfortable, which is the important thing. Over the holidays I was preparing myself to arrive on good form, and thanks to God I haven’t suffered any type of relapse or discomfort”.

Nationalisation

“We’re done everything required to ensure it’s up to date. It’s important for both myself and the Club, for the future and for my family”.

Captaincy

“It’s up to the more experienced players to guide the group. As always, I will take on the role calmly and by working hard, it’s the only way”.

Fans

“The fans have been fundamental. It’s important to us for the team to feel their support. For our part, the fans can relax, we’re going to work as hard as we can, and we’ve seen some good things in these matches. I want to assure them that we’re working hard to bring them joy”.
