Roberto: “We’re still preparing the team physically and getting to know each other”

Blue and Whites’ goalkeeper, Roberto Jiménez spoke to MCFTV following the match against AZ Alkmaar. “We must carry on working and get our legs fit for competition”.

AZ-MCF

“This was our third match. We continue with a heavy physical load, getting the team fit, which has repercussions in matches against teams who have played more. Of course, the result isn’t a positive one, but we are still preparing the team physically and getting to know each other, and despite the defeats, this is the line of work we’re following”.

Individual and collective

“I see myself the same as the rest of the squad, generally speaking - lacking minutes and preparation, but little by little feeling better each day, and more connected with my teammates. It’s the same on a physical level, resolving the small things we’re lacking so we can kick off the competition in the best way possible”.

Fitting in

“We’ve come to a phenomenal group of healthy people, who are keen to ensure things go well. It’s very easy for new players to adapt, and for those who are yet to arrive, they will feel the same, between us all we’ll make them feel at home. Now it’s about working hard in training sessions and getting our legs fit, to try and compete well and generate a good feeling”.
