Roberto: “Today was a great day, but tomorrow we have to continue improving”

The forward appeared before the media after the match against Atlético Baleares (3-0) in which he scored two goals: “I really wanted to go out and take over the pitch,” he said.

Ambition to improve

“We have to keep improving. Today was a great day, but tomorrow we’ll return to training and continue improving. I am going to continue working for myself and for the team. The crossbar was a shame. The hat-trick wasn’t to be, but there’s no rush, if it wasn't today it may happen another day. I will keep working hard to help the team. I haven't looked at the scorers’ rankings, but if at the end of the season I'm up there, it will be a reward for my effort.”

A very complete match

“I think that individually it was one of the best games. I really wanted to go out and take over the pitch. At group level, we played a very complete game. The team and fans needed a victory and a match as complete as this one.”

Practice makes perfect

“We had rehearsed the play. Manu gave me a perfect ball and I did everything I could to get the goal.”
