Left-back, Fede Ricca held a press conference at the Ciudad de Málaga today. “The aim is to take each match at a time and end the League in the highest position possible,” says the Uruguayan.
Help the team
“We’ve got an important game coming up on Sunday, difficult, but it’s at home so we need to try and win whatever happens. From a personal point of view, I want to continue accumulating minutes. I had the chance to play the other day and am working hard during the week. During the time I have on the pitch, I need to perform well and help the team, so we can work towards winning matches and achieving good results.”
Next match
“We know it’s an important match, and one in which we can reduce the difference in points with the rival. We’re going to work hard this week to approach the game in the best way we can and try our best to win. It’s a great opportunity to claim the three points. Every match is tough, but the team always goes out to win the three points.”
Strength at home
“The aim is to take each match at a time and end the League in the highest position possible. In order to achieve this objective, we must work very hard each week, so when the match comes around at the weekend we can achieve the result we want. We’re strong at home and we’re going to try and win in front of our fans.”
Happy from a personal aspect
“I’m really great, very happy in my personal life. The city is beautiful, the people welcomed me in the best way possible, both at the Club and outside, so I’m delighted to be here. With regards to my debut at La Rosaleda, it was a wonderful feeling, one that I’d been waiting for since I arrived, after making my debut in an away game. I wanted to play in front of our supporters, the stadium was packed and I felt very comfortable and pleased to have played.”
Possible place in the starting line-up
“I may be given the chance to play (against Athletic). A player trains all week in the same way, and gives everything they’ve got in each session to improve themselves and the team. If we’re given the opportunity to play we’ll be ready, as that’s what we work towards throughout the week.”
