Real Sociedad ‘B’ – Málaga match preview

Málaga CF femenino will face the Real Sociedad de Fútbol reserve team on Sunday at 17:00 in the return leg of the promotion playoff semi-finals to the Primera Federación Iberdrola.

The match between the Malaguistas and Realistas will take place on pitch Z4 (artificial turf) at the iconic Zubieta training facilities in San Sebastián.

In the first leg in Málaga, the result was a draw (0-0). If the two teams are level after regular time in this match, extra time will be played, and if the score remains tied, the winner will be decided by a penalty shootout.

The winner of the tie will face, in the promotion final to the national second division, the winner of the other semi-final between Zaragoza CFF and FC Ona Sant Adrià, who took a 1-2 win in the first leg played in Aragón.

Héctor Díaz’s team has completed four intense training sessions this week at the Ciudad Deportiva Fundación MCF, and travelled to San Sebastián this Saturday.

In addition, the Gipuzkoan side has an impressive home record this 2025/26 season in Group 1 of Segunda Federación, with 13 matches played: 10 wins, 2 draws, and 1 defeat, scoring 35 goals and conceding just 8, showing strong home form.

Málaga CFF and Real Sociedad ‘B’ will face each other in a decisive second leg, with everything at stake as they both aim for a place in the promotion final playoff to reach Primera Federación.

Vamos, Málaga!
