Playing at Home at La Rosaleda

The Playing at Home first team, Málaga CF’s business network, gathered together at the Blue and White stadium to mark the end of the season.

La Rosaleda remains closed to the public, but on Wednesday it opened its doors to welcome an exceptional group: the businesses who make up the Playing at Home platform. Entrepreneurs who have shown their support and commitment to the Club, doing their bit within this Blue and White SME platform. The Playing at Home members enjoyed an afternoon of networking at the epicentre of Malaguismo: La Rosaleda Stadium. The reason? To bid farewell to this first and historic season for this initiative, bringing together MCF and SMEs within the province.

Not all members were able to attend, as after a hard year impacted by the losses from the pandemic, the majority are focused on getting their own businesses back on track. However, a group of 30 guests found a gap in their busy schedules to enjoy this day.

The afternoon kicked off in the ‘Juan Cortés’ press room, where the guests watched a video message from judicial administrator, José María Muñoz. He apologised for not being there in person and thanked them for their commitment to the Entity. Carlos Arias, Málaga Club de Fútbol’s business manager and Ana Vera, Institutional Relations director, were in charge of welcoming the group on behalf of MCF.

The businesspeople subsequently discovered the curiosities of La Rosaleda via MCF Foundation historian, Domingo Muñoz. After a walk through the stadium, the guests took a group photo on the pitch where they were joined by sporting director, Manolo Gaspar and head of the MCF Academy, Sergio Paulo Barbosa Valente, ‘Duda’.

Lastly, those present, including the aforementioned directors, entered the VIP area to enjoy a meal and collect a small gift from the Club to thank them for their attendance. Carlos Arias gave everyone an emotional speech to mark the close of the season. A speech in which he recalled their fight ‘Against All Odds’ last season, and asked for everyone to continue ‘Giving Their All’ this year by remaining within this great Malaguista Family of businesses. Finally, the guests each gave a presentation of their businesses to end the day of networking.

The Club thanks you once again for your support. See you again soon Playing at Home!
