Player nutrition, routine and measures against COVID-19

Following the Semana Blanca holiday, ‘Blue and White Values’ returns to schools within Málaga province.

The MCF Foundation’s project, in collaboration with #FundaciónLaCaixa, ‘Blue and White Values’ continues to set an example to young people in all corners of the province. This time around, the remote meeting was held at CEIP María de la O.

On Wednesday 3rd March, pupils at CEIP María de la O, in Los Asperones, enjoyed the presence of Alexander, Futu and David Pascual during the meeting, representing the different teams within the Club. Throughout the session, they answered the children’s questions, talked about their experiences and conveyed the values of sport that they apply to their daily lives.

Alexander talks about food and a healthy mind

“As a routine we need a lot of rest and a healthy diet is very important – a good breakfast and lunch. When we’re on the bus I listen to music to relax and ease the pressure. You can win, lose or draw in football but you must always remain professional and look after yourself”.

Futu on nutrition

“To be a footballer you need to eat well and look after your mind. That said, we’re human, and during holidays, on the odd day we’ll enjoy a hamburger or something similar”.

David Pascual on the measures to prevent COVID-19

“We always wear masks and maintain the correct social distance. We also regularly use hand sanitiser”.
