Benítez, renewed commitment to the youth ranks

The reserve team right-back has renewed his association with Málaga Club de Fútbol until the end of the 21/22 season, with the option of another year on his contract.

Alejandro Benítez Palomero (Cala de Mijas, 15/05/2000) is another of the many players from the MCF Academy who, little by little, is making his way to the first team.

During his formative football years, he achieved league titles in the ‘cadete’ and ‘juvenil’ categories. As part of the División de Honor squad, during the 18/19 season he debuted with Atlético Malagueño in Segunda B. The previous season, Benítez joined the Blue and White reserve team and, this season, in the LaLiga SmartBank opener, he made his MCF debut in Tenerife (13/09/2020).

Ale has shown an important evolution this season, with a notable performance on the right. Effective in defence and proactive on the attack, his presence in training sessions and first team squad lists is consistent, despite being a member of the reserve team.

With Alexander, Calero, Ismael and Benítez, Málaga CF have the position of right-back and or right-winger occupied for the next few years.

Ale, continue your progression with humility and hard work. Go for it!

Grateful

“I arrived in 2010, in Alevín ‘A’, and as the years went on, I didn’t ever think I’d be here this long. It’s a dream come true, but we must keep working hard. I’m very grateful to the Club for all the values given to me since I was a child”.

Best moments

“The first year I arrived we reached the Brunete semi-finals in Benalmádena and ended fourth in Spain. My debut with the first team was the most special of all. It’s what every young player strives towards, making their first team debut”.

Youth ranks

“It’s a unique opportunity for us. The Club supports the youth ranks so much, and we’re very grateful, particularly to the coach. I’ll continue to work hard to be able to stay here”.

Right-back

“It’s a highly sought-after position, but it’s nice to have teammates like this, with that healthy competition between us. It’s a pleasure to learn from them and to be able to compete with them”.

Atlético Malagueño

“Malagueño’s objective is to reach Segunda B. That’s our goal, to be in the top 3, then the promotion league, then move up”.

Dreams

“My dream is to play at La Rosaleda in front of the fans. Also, to establish myself within the first team and compete with them each day. That’s also a dream I want to fulfil”.
