The former Málaga CF goalkeeper and current head of LALIGA’s Players’ Office met with the first team squad, accompanied by club delegate Raúl Iznata.

Following the team’s training session at the Annexe, Roberto spoke to the players and coaching staff in the Club’s ‘Juan Cortés’ press room. His talk focused on the experience of being a professional footballer, the support available to players and the different challenges that can arise throughout a sporting career.

Roberto explained the work he currently carries out through LALIGA’s Players’ Office, which serves as a direct channel of communication and support for footballers. Player wellbeing, education and personal and professional development, managing situations both on and off the pitch, the importance of having access to resources and trusted points of contact, and preparing for life after football were among the key topics discussed.

The former Malaguista placed particular emphasis on the importance of footballers having a supportive environment that enables them to face both sporting challenges and the personal and professional demands that come with competing at the highest level.
