“The sensations are good, after all the bad I’ve been experiencing this season on a professional level. I really want to get back with the team now. This is the second training session I’ve completed with the group. Valuing day to day all the work I’ve done previously, I’m extremely keen to feel important within the team in such a tough situation”.

Setbacks

“In the end it’s the coach’s decision. We’re in a critical situation in which the coach needs players to be at 100 per cent, and every game is showing that we need to select the players who are in the best condition. After all the setbacks I’ve suffered this season on a muscular level, I set my goals daily. It’s the only way for me to demonstrate everything I’ve shown during my years with the Club”.

Respect for the fans

“I think it’s a product of the situation we’re in. It was a meeting between friends at home, watching my team. I understand that a lot of what we’re going through at the moment can lead to pre-judging of the situation around us. Personally, my conscience is clear. At such a delicate moment like this, and as difficult as it’s been for me professionally, surrounding myself with trusted friends, to whom I can express my feelings, helps me to feel better. The important thing that day was to support the team from a distance, as I was unable to be with them. Whenever I’ve had the possibility, I’ve always asked the coach if I can travel with the team. In this case, I had to stay behind and train with the non-called-up players. Since we had an afternoon training session the following day, everyone decides on how to organise their own private lives. As such, being able to be at home alongside trusted friends to support the team, I don’t think is a bad thing. People know me well from all my stages at the Club, they know what I’ve given and the commitment I’ve always had. My intention is not to create conflict. I understand I’m an important person for the team and the Club. I show my respect to people who may have been offended. I think the fans give us such a lot in every game, and always do so. Personally, I believe the Club has given me a lot, and my intention is to do the best I can, participate at a competitive level as soon as possible, and continue demonstrating what I’ve always shown”.

New signings and trend of the team

“I think the team’s tendency is to move upwards. We didn’t deserve to lose this match or the previous one. Every team needs a bit of good luck, and this season it’s not accompanying us in many aspects. The team made some good reinforcements over the winter transfer window. Players of great quality have arrived here who can bring a lot of freshness to the team. This generates maximum competition in every training session, which in the end helps the team to grow. We want to be able to enjoy matches. The team deserves some joy as soon as possible, as do the fans, for every reception they've given us to show their commitment. Using all our energy and enthusiasm, we’re not going to give up. We trust in the work we’re doing. I believe that in every match we face we have the possibility of scoring the three points”.
