The Club’s sports director, Mario Husillos accompanied the footballers in their appearance before the media. “Lacen will certainly continue with us. In the case of Isaac and Maxime, we would be delighted if they stayed with us, if circumstances allow. Lestienne? Due to his quality, it’s rare to relate a player like that with Málaga. He’s been out of competition for some time and became available to us. We hope he is himself”, he declares.

First days in Málaga

Lacen“It’s all good, I’m delighted to be here. We are aware of the difficulty, but we are very hopeful that the team will be saved. Now it’s about work and more work to achieve good results”.

Success“I feel great and want to support the team to the max. Over these first few days, everything’s gone well”.

Lestienne“We are in a difficult situation, but we’ll try to contribute as much as possible to get out of the position we’re in”.

Personal and collective challenge

Lacen“I’ve been lucky enough to play my whole career except this year, and it’s a good time to try to play; if not, I’ve contributed from the side lines, as I’ve experienced many situations like this. It’s about supporting the team from the inside and outside. It’s a joy to be here, and also a challenge”.

Success“I’m here to make the most of this opportunity. The most important thing is to help the team, and if I do well it’s also good for the team. Everyone wants to remain in the First Division, and if we achieve salvation, it’ll be good for me and all the players”.

Lestienne“It’s a challenge, we have a good team and we hope to get out of this situation”.

Good team

Lacen“In regard to the players and the squad, the classification means a totally different thing. I can bring work and experience, I’m here to help, we’re all in the same boat. It’s a very complicated situation, but we have to support each other to try and stay in this division”.

Success“Since I arrived, I’ve found a good team. The players are working hard but are unhappy with the situation. Football can be like this, the results aren’t coming, but we need to work together, not get discouraged and try to turn this situation around”.

Lestienne“We’re a good team, everyone contributes, and I hope to bring my speed, which is my standout quality”.

Similar situations in LaLiga

Lacen“We have to have hope. We need to start winning matches, gain confidence and have a good streak. Two months ago, Eibar played seven games without losing, with five victories, and they were improving. That’s what we need to try and do”.

Success“I experienced a similar situation in Granada. The first thing is to trust, to grow every day as a team, because there’s no rival that we cannot defeat. We need to grow and become stronger, which we’ll achieve with victories. It would help us to believe in what we can achieve”.
