Pellicer: “We weren’t accurate”

The Blue and White coach held a press conference following #MálagaFuenla. “There are six finals remaining and we need a win to achieve the objective”, he said.

Review

“When a rival is superior you have to congratulate them. We were in despair with the goal action. There was a great deal of difference in the first half, they won the first and second plays, the spaces threatened us. In the second half we made some adjustments, but we were in the match thanks to Dani Barrio, it was a reward being just 0-1 down at half-time. In the second half we tried, but we lacked freshness. Yet, with such a narrow score, we could have equalised at any time. We had one chance in the end. It’s a shame but we must pick ourselves up. There’s no drama, we need to learn from this. We kept insisting with more heart than ideas. There are six finals remaining and we need a win to achieve the objective”.

The team

“We’ve had a good run in the second round. We are the third team who has run the most in the division, and the team with the highest intensity in terms of effort. We’re hungry, we want to secure permanency, which still isn’t a done deal. We have six finals left and want to score as many points as possible to put the finishing touches to a tough season, with great merit. Despite the injuries and setbacks, we’ve taken a step forward. I ask for calm”.
