Pellicer: “The important thing is that the players go out there and perform”

The Malaguista coach, who will return to the dugout for #MálagaLugo, speaks in the run-up to tomorrow night’s game. “They are a team that makes the rival uncomfortable, so we’re going to try and turn that around”, he said.

Involvement of everyone

“We’re very happy with the last result. The important thing is that the players change and those who have been participating less go out there and perform. This generates much more unity, and if we secure victory, we’ll be the best. Tomorrow, there’s a possibility that those who weren’t part of the last match will be in the starting line-up”.

Rotations

“The physical level required in these matches is highly demanding, in order to continue pushing and pressurising the rival upfront, to improve in defence and make quick transitions. This means we need players with fresh legs and minds”.

Lugo

“They didn’t have the best start to the competition in terms of results, and with the change of coach, the team took a brutal step forward on a competitive level and improved results. They are a very aggressive side, that handles second plays very well, with direct play, good defence and they know how to manage all aspects of play when they have the ball. I imagine it will be a very difficult game, as they are a team that makes the rival uncomfortable, so we’re going to try and turn that around”.
