The fans, too, have given a masterclass this year, and yes, this is a final. At our home. We need to be ourselves, against a rival that will put us in tough situations because they're in a good run of form.”

Importance of the match

“It’s the most important match. This is a final. That’s the message I want to get across. And it’s important that we depend on ourselves. I think we deserved to seal it earlier, but nothing is done yet. We have to stay switched on, no room for any kind of complacency.”

Only Sporting

“There’s nothing else to think about. Just us. We’ll reflect once everything is secured. I don’t want to waste any energy on future assessments. My mind is on Sporting, on our people, and on this match. The evaluations will come at the end of the season.”

Emotions

“It’s a moment full of emotion. We’re the second team in the league in terms of distance covered, but we’re playing at La Rosaleda. We have to be ready. The physical work is done. If we stay consistent and push ourselves to the limit, we’re a very tough team to beat.”

That’s why it’s important to win this week, because something special is being built. The most important thing is that the idols are people from our neighbourhood. That creates a sense of purpose. And it drives us to take it up a notch, to be better each season.”
