The young ‘Malaguista’ striker held a press conference after this morning’s bank holiday training session. Speaking in Spanish, Pawlowski said he feels “very at ease in Málaga” and “the Cup tournament is important, as it is in my country.”
Pawlowski is looking forward to the rematch against Osasuna following the 0-1 League defeat at La Rosaleda in October, thanks to a goal from Riera in the 24th minute: “It was a tough game for us, but we’ve now got a second chance for victory in front of all our fans.” The Polish-born player adds: “The League is very important, but so is the Cup, it’s the same in my country, and we always go out there to win.”
With regards to the possibility of being included in Sunday’s line-up, the striker comments: “I always want to play, which is why I try as hard as I can in every training session. I hope the coach gives me the opportunity to play this weekend, as I’ll give it my all to help the team win.” The Pole isn’t thinking about leaving the Blue and Whites in order to gain more minutes on the pitch: “I’m not even thinking about leaving, I love being in Málaga as it’s a great chance for me to show my skills. Taking part in this League competition is a wonderful opportunity to keep growing and progressing as a player.”
Referring to how he’s adapted to the city and the Club, Pawlowski says: “I never had a problem with the thought of being on my own here. I left home at 16 to live on my own, so I never had any problems with adapting to life here.” Pawlowski is learning Spanish very quickly: “Little by little I’m understanding more of the language, although at times I feel more comfortable speaking English, and prefer to speak to the coach in English.”
