The Portuguese-born player comments: “We had the match under control at the end of the first half, and then should have sealed our victory when we were 3-0 up. However it wasn’t to be, and within 10-15 minutes we lost control of the game completely.” Eliseu continues: “The match was ours to win and then suddenly the rival took the reins. They scored a strange first goal and from then on things got much more difficult for us and we lost our confidence.”

The Chilean-born Blue and Whites’ player adds: “The match was completely under control; it’s a match of two legs and we went out there determined to score goals tonight. However Osasuna also scored three times so we need to up our game and score in the return leg. It’s crucial that we continue to train hard every day.”
The midfielder states: “Following the draw against Villarreal in the last minute, we had a good week in training, the team was full of positivity and looking forward to this match against Osasuna. We played very well in parts and had an impressive goal advantage over a strong rival, but we couldn’t keep it up in the second half. We fought until the end, we always give every game 100 per cent, but it’ll take more hard work every day into order to gain strength and move forward.”
