Pacheco: “There are days when you need to roll your sleeves up”

Following #RealOviedoMálaga, Pizarra-born striker Dani Pacheco appeared in the mixed zone at the Carlos Tartiere. “Scoring 7 or 9 points before the break is good”, he affirmed.

Positive analysis

“We wanted to finish with a victory away from home to continue the mini-streak we’d adopted, but scoring an away point is important, we kept a clean sheet, remain in the top part of the standings and the team is strong”.

Valuable point

“They had a couple of clear chances, in which we didn’t manage to completely clear the ball, and we also have an amazing goalkeeper who again proved his level today. We’re pleased with the point, although we would have liked three”.

Condition of the pitch

“It’s a shame as it’s a beautiful stadium with an exemplary fan base. Every time I’ve been here the pitch has never been in a good condition, I think it has to do with the fact the stadium doesn’t get much light, which is a pity. However, it was the same for both teams”.

Individual

“I haven’t been doing too badly, I haven’t participated much on the attack but there are days when you need to roll your sleeves up, defend and help Fede (Ricca) on my wing; and then ‘Onti’ had a bit of space, he showed all his skill and tried to create occasions for the team”.

Christmas break

“We always want to score all three points but scoring 7 or 9 in the last three matches before the Christmas break is good for us to disconnect, gain strength and ensure we’re ready for what’s coming next”.
