Pablo Guede: “Nothing went our way”

The Argentinean coach held a press conference following the league debut at El Plantío, where Málaga CF suffered a narrow defeat (1-0) thanks to a goal by Artola in the second half.

Pablo Guede affirmed the match escaped the team because Burgos were superior “in many aspects of play. We couldn’t develop the game we wanted to play. It was a match where nothing went our way,” said the Blue and White manager about his team’s performance. He added that “we must keep working hard” to improve.

In regard to the rival, a highly recognisable Burgos, thanks to Calero, is “a team that is very well armed. We’re in that process,” he continued.

Rubén Castro had the most important chances for Guede’s team. The coach talked about this towards the end of his press conference: “We had a couple of opportunities during the game, but we couldn’t convert them. We made a lot of unforced errors. We didn't have the fluidity we wanted and, against a rival like Burgos, you end up paying the price.”
