Ochoa: “The team always shows hunger”

The goalkeeper highlights the team’s voracity “despite already securing salvation. Now we have the chance to keep our eighth place at home.”

Balaídos: difficult ground

“We knew how difficult it would be to play here in Vigo, as Celta tend to achieve good results at home.  They have a good system of play and a very interesting attacking power.  We were aware it wasn’t going to be easy and we had to counter that.  Throughout the match we did so, at times waiting for that opportunity, but lacking precision on the exit of the ball or in combinative play.  However, the important thing is the team always gives their all, are committed and the amount of effort put in is evident.”

Ambition

“Despite already securing salvation, the team always shows hunger until the end, regardless of the result.  The best thing is we have the chance to keep our eighth place at home with a win.”

One-on-one with Aspas

“The action with Iago Aspas was tough as he’s a fairly quick player, and can easily tap the ball.  We had seen that he’d scored goals in this way, and we would need to stay focused.  Fortunately, I was fast, reacted well and reached the ball.  I feel good physically, now I’m playing more regularly, and will try to continue doing so until the end of the season.”

Arrival of President Al Thani

“I’m happy he was here with us, it’s important for the institution and the team to have the presence of the owners and count on their support.  His attendance is always positive, and helps to resolve any problem or situation more quickly.”
