No rest for Cifuentes and Mula

The Malaguista right back and winger continue with their respective recoveries. MCFTV caught up with both players at La Rosaleda on Thursday, a day off for the first team.

Miguel Cifuentes suffered a tear to the adductor in his right leg on 26th September. As such, it will be a month tomorrow since the Granada-born player’s injury was diagnosed. During this time, ‘Cifu’ has been gradually increasing his workload, moving on to the pitch over the past two weeks and strengthening the injured area in the gym. Always under the supervision of physical trainer Manu Gestoso, the number ‘12’ now faces the final stage of his recovery before returning to the group dynamic.

Álex Mula had surgery on 14th September on a tear to the meniscus in his left knee. During the postoperative period, an infection in the surgical wound meant he continued hospital treatment until 7th October. Since then, Mula has begun a long-term recovery process in which he’s strengthening the joint with physiotherapy sessions and various exercises in the gym.

This Thursday morning, with the first team enjoying a day off, both Cifu and Mula continued their usual routine at La Rosaleda’s facilities. No time to rest… just focusing on coming back stronger.
