Nelson Monte: “When it's time to suffer, the team sacrifices itself and gives everything”

Nelson Monte held a press conference after the match against Real Zaragoza. “With a Málaga at 100% and the support of the fans, the victory at home is closer,” he stated.

A team that knows how to suffer

“In the second half, we had to suffer. I think we played a great first half, even when we were a man down, creating chances to score the first goal. We knew the second half would be more complicated, but this team fills me with pride. Knowing how to suffer is part of football, and this group understands it and gives everything on the pitch.”

Strong defence

“I think this is the fifth consecutive match with a clean sheet. As I said, the first half was very good, and in the dressing room, we had already talked about how the second half would be demanding. Despite the difficulties, the team knows how to compete and stay strong. I highlight the collective sacrifice. From the bench to those of us on the pitch, we all worked hard.”

#MálagaRacing

“Now it's time to think about the next match. Racing are on great form, but I have full confidence in our team. My focus is on us, not on the rival, even if they are the best in the category. With a Málaga at 100% and the incomparable atmosphere created by our fans, who always fill La Rosaleda, I'm convinced we will be closer to victory.”
