Málaga CF has incorporated Alfred N’Diaye on loan from Villarreal CF for the 2018/19 season. The midfielder will be presented today, Friday at the Carmen Tyssen Museum in Málaga at 13:15.
Career and characteristics
Alfred John Momar N’Diaye, of Senegalese origin, was born in Paris (France) on 6th March 1990. Early training took place at French club AS Nancy where he remained from 2004 until his leap to professionalism (2008-11). He subsequently played in Turkey in the ranks of Bursaspor (2011-13) and Eskisehirspor (2013/14) with an intermediate move to English side Sunderland before beginning his journey in the Spanish league.
His physical build, which allows him to cover a lot of ground in midfield, as well as his versatility, since he’s a defensive pivot who can play as a central defender, called the attention of Real Betis Balompié. First on loan (2014) and then ownership (2014-16), with the Sevilla side he won the current Liga 1|2|3 and moved up to the elite in the 2014/15 campaign.
Villarreal signed the player in 2016, loaning him out to Hull City a year later, and last season to Wolverhampton Wanderers. N’Diaye, as with Betis, won the silver division and enjoyed a brilliant promotion to the Premier League.
International and World Cup performances
Alfred N’Diaye played in the lower ranks with France from the U-17s to the U-21s. At senior age he opted to play for Senegal, accumulating 20 international appearances from 2013 with the first team, including participation in the recent Russia World Cup in two matches in the first phase of the tournament.
