N’Diaye: “I love this project”

Málaga CF’s new midfielder is delighted to wear Blue and White and says the decision was made calmly and with his family.

The latest signing to Málaga CF, Alfred N’Diaye was presented today at the Thyssen Museum in Málaga. There, the Senegalese midfielder, who technical secretary Juan Rodríguez defines as “versatile, with great experience, good use of the ball and capacity to lead”, held his first press conference as a ‘boquerón’.

In love with the project

“I have spoken many times with the sports management, they explained the project, I know it’s in the Second Division but I loved it, which is why I decided to come to Málaga. I’m on loan for a year and will give everything I’ve got to have the best season possible. I had various offers from another country, but I lived in Andalucía with my family for two and a half years and loved it. I spoke to my family and we made the decision together. My wife is very pleased to be here, as am I”.

Humility and hard work

“I have experience now. I’ve been a professional for more than 10 years and come here with no pressure. I’ll do everything possible to help the Club and always do my best on the pitch. I’m like the other players. I have experience and am here to help my teammates to have the best season possible. I know my qualities, I’ve come to help with humility. I’m not the star of the team, I’m just another player”.

Experience in the category

“I played in the Second Division for two years and both times we went up. They were different teams, at different stages. For me, the objective is to have the best season possible. Let’s see if by January or February we can be as high up the table as possible, then we can look ahead. The Second Division is going to be a very tough season, so we have to go stage by stage”.

Ready to play

“I’ve spoken to the coach, he welcomed me. I’m very fit. I played in the World Cup a month ago and underwent two weeks of pre-season training with Villarreal playing a number of games. I’m ready to play tomorrow”.
