The squad began the morning session in the gym before heading out onto the pitch at around 11:00. The session included a tactical briefing, an initial physical workout and ball-based tactical drills.

The club’s three latest summer signings; left-back Aznou, centre-back Berrocal and midfielder Cajuste, trained alongside the rest of the squad under the guidance of Juanfran Funes.

Aaron Ochoa, meanwhile, gradually rejoined the group’s training activities. Niño, Calero, Murillo and Moussa continued their respective recovery programmes away from the main squad.

Málaga CF will return to training at La Rosaleda Stadium on Thursday at 10:30.
