The squad completed their fourth training session of the week at La Rosaleda. At around 10:45, the players took to the pitch for a session overseen by Funes and his coaching staff.
During the final minutes of yesterday’s session, Julen Lobete suffered an injury to his left knee following an accidental incident. Diagnostic tests have confirmed injuries to the anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament. The player will undergo surgery in the coming days.
Meanwhile, after several days of conservative treatment, Aaron Ochoa’s right knee meniscus injury will ultimately require surgery. The player will undergo an operation on Monday 7th September, performed by Dr Manuel Leyes in Madrid.
Niño has begun a gradual, partial return to group training, while Calero, Murillo and Moussa continue with their respective recovery programmes.
Málaga CF will resume training at La Rosaleda Stadium tomorrow, Saturday, at 10:30.
