Around 10:15, Juanfran Funes’ side began their fifth training session of the week. The morning’s work included a physical warm-up, a group round, small-sided games and specific set-piece drills.

Niño once again joined the squad, taking part in part of the session. As well as Aaron Ochoa and Lobete, both awaiting surgery, injured players Murillo, Calero and Moussa were absent.
