Muñiz: “We’ll try to win tomorrow as we do every weekend”

The Malaguista coach held a press conference in the run-up to #MálagaReus: “We have to believe in our work and in what we do, not in what’s going to happen tomorrow”.

“We’re not entering into the situation of what’s going to happen as that would be a mistake. We’re preparing for the match to be in the best possible position. We know there are three important points at stake and we can’t make the error of over-confidence. We have to believe in our work and in what we do, not in what’s going to happen tomorrow. We’ll try to win tomorrow as we do every weekend, knowing that we’re up against a good rival who has played some good games in recent weeks. It’s about zero over-confidence and working as hard as we can”.

Extreme situation

“Fortunately, I’ve never experienced this situation. It’s somewhat strange, but we’ll try to stay out of it, I think anything else would be a mistake. It’s a difficult match, against 11 players who will fight to obtain a good result for their team. We’ll be going into this match without confidence and without nerves. We will need to do things well if we want to win”.

LaLiga 1|2|3

“We’re living it from a distance. We don’t know what’s happening there, we know what we’re reading and what we’re informed about. It’s such a shame. The category doesn’t deserve this situation. It’s a very good division, which has improved a great deal over the last few years, in terms of standard, preparation, the number of followers, fans, players… As such, I don’t think the category deserves this situation”.
