Málaga CF coach, Juan Ramón López Muñiz appeared in the press room following #TenerifeMálaga: “We have to be satisfied with the work of the team”.
Complete match
“It was a very complete game by both teams, extremely hard-fought and even. It would have been fair if we’d both won, as we put on a good show. A match played and competed, with occasions for both. The two sides worked to win”.
Equality
“When you find yourself in match like this one, with two teams playing a good game and working hard, it’s a pity not to win, as you have that feeling afterwards of having the ability to take the match forward. We have to be satisfied with the work of the team. Again, they played a very complete game against a good rival. You never leave happy with a draw, but when you can’t win, you don’t lose. It’s important to be ambitious, but today the teams would have deserved to win”.
Competing
“The players always compete when they step out on to the pitch, they stand up to the rival, they’re present in the game and very much alive. The team is having a great season. We don’t realise we’ve played 23 matches at a very high level and in the top part of the table. We must value this position. It’s not easy”.
