Munir: “It was important to continue scoring points”

The Málaga CF goalkeeper highlights the defensive strength of the team: “Maintaining a clean sheet was key, particularly because of our way of playing. I was able to do my bit, I’m happy” he said in the mixed zone following #TenerifeMálaga.

“It was a difficult match, very even. In the end, it was a fair result. The important thing was to continue scoring points and maintain a clean sheet, particularly because of our way of playing. I was able to do my bit, I’m happy”.

Great intervention

“It was a very fast play. It was a great shot, I saw it close up, reacted as quickly as I could, first with my arm, then the ball stayed there, and I tried to clear it as fast as possible”.

Controlled match

“Taking away two of their chances from set pieces, I believed we had the match pretty much under control in defence. However, we know that in the Second Division it’s all about details. The first half was good for us on the attack, whereas in the second it was more difficult to approach the goal. In the end I think fatigue and the wear of the first half affected us a bit. In defence, in the second half, we had to roll our sleeves up and I think we controlled the game quite well”.

Good point

“Today’s point is important to us as it means we continue adding. In addition, it’s a good point against a very tough rival who has reinforced the team well and who is very strong at home. It’s a positive point”.

La Rosaleda

“We must score all three points at home as we’re adding to our pot in away games. A victory next weekend will be highly important”.
