Moussa Diarra’s operation was carried out by Dr. Vicente de la Varga, a specialist in traumatology and orthopaedic surgery, who has been linked to Málaga CF's medical services for several seasons.
The operation was undertaken successfully at Hospital HLA El Ángel in the capital, with the collaboration of FREMAP and under the supervision of the Blue and White doctors Juan Carlos Pérez-Frías and Nacho Pascual.
The homegrown central defender will remain in hospital tonight and is expected to be discharged tomorrow. Over the first few days, the joint will be immobilised and, as from next week, a more specific rehabilitation will begin, pending the progress of the recovery.
