Miguel Torres: “I hope we can secure our second consecutive win”
‘Malaguista’ defender, Miguel Torres held a press conference this afternoon in the Ciudad de Málaga stadium’s press room.
Return to work
“Following the League break, yesterday and today’s sessions were intense and hard-going. However it’s best to do this ahead of the match at the weekend. After such a good result in our last home game, we wanted to continue working hard in order to maintain the winning streak, but we reached the League break in the best way possible. With regards to Camacho and Roque, they are two fundamental players on the team, both captains, who support the group in every match. I hope they’ll both be able to play this weekend.”
Match in Valencia
“It’s always a positive thing to defy statistics. I hope we work well in our next match, against a rival with quality players, and secure our second consecutive win. Major teams such as Valencia demand a great deal from their rivals. We’ll focus on another direction and I hope we can interpret what the coach wants us to do in this match against Valencia. If we look at previous games, we’ve been able to interpret everything we needed to do each time. We’ll try and apply everything we’ve been working on to this match at the weekend.”
Good personal moment
“I work hard to support the team and play a lot of football games, and if I can play one after the other, that’s even better. I don’t think any player on the team has a secure place. There’s a great deal of competition, and my job is to work hard in order to play as many games as I can. I’m very happy here, and really hope I can be in the starting-11 at the weekend against a good rival. We’re all working very well and focusing on bringing home a great result from Valencia following the League break. We need to look at each match as if it were like a final, and try our best to gain our second victory in a row.”
