Málaga CF Forever played a friendly at La Rosaleda’s Annexe on Saturday, defeating the veterans from Dutch side Vitesse by 10-2.
Thanks to the sponsorship of Diputación Provincial de Málaga, the Association of Ex Málaga Football Players continues the busy schedule of matches in the capital and throughout the province.
A week ago, the Forever team was in action in Álora in a charity match in aid of the Asociación Carmen Leyre, with the aim of helping in the development and research of nemaline myopathy. And this morning, our legends were at home at the Annexe and La Rosaleda.
There was a special guest, the veterans from Vitesse, one of the most prestigious clubs in the Netherlands. The match kicked-off at 12:00, ending in a 10-2 win for the Blue and Whites, with hattricks from Catanha and Javi Ramos, and additional goals by Curro, Fali, Santi and Pepe Caro.
Manolo Hernández Navarrete’s starting-11 was made up of Jorge, in goal; Raúl Gaitán, Manolo Gaspar, Francis Bravo and Palomo, in defence; Apoño and De los Santos on the double pivot with Loren Zúñiga and Juanma on the wings; Curro as playmaker and Catanha as striker.
Following the game, the Málaga CF Forever team enjoyed lunch with the Dutch side at La Rosaleda.
